Dear Editor:
Approximately 2,100 children in the Grapevine-Colleyville and Southlake school districts qualified for either free or reduced-priced meals last year.Dear Editor:
On Father’s Day, I was enjoying a bike ride along one of the trails of Grapevine Lake when I lost control of the bike and took a hard fall into the nearby brush.Dear Editor:
I urge Southlake residents to vote for my long time friend, Pamela A. Muller, for Southlake City Council, in the upcoming City Council runoff election.Dear Editor:
Suzanne Maisto’s campaign positions are reminding me of that old game show, To Tell the Truth.Dear Editor:
As a Southlake resident for more than seven years I value this family oriented community and the way this city has developed. I am supporting Pamela Muller in the Southlake City Council run off election on June 14 because I feel her experience and service over the past 20 years in Southlake will ensure we continue to grow with the same mind-set that has made this city a wonderful place to live.Dear Editor:
Regarding the May 9 letter to the editor who claims he and the Southlake Journal were accused of benefiting from pornography, well touché!! Now I am a single minded zealot!Dear Editor,
I was not surprised by being attacked and accused of being someone benefiting from pornography. The writer similarly criticizes the Southlake Journal for its recent article, "Council Eyes Web Filter Plan; Critics Point to Censorship, Technology Problems."Dear Editor,
The article on The CP80 Foundation and its efforts to help protect children from pornography entitled, “Council Eyes Web Filter Plan” had several misleading and alarming falsehoods. In my experience promoting this organization and all laws that work to protect children online, I have discovered that the only people opposed to such actions are those who are benefitting from pornography themselves. At the May 6th meeting, the Southlake City Council could endorse a local, state, national and international movement toward a filtered, aka censored, internet.
Editor’s Note: Because election day in Southlake occurs the day after the next edition of the Southlake Journal, our current edition, May 2, is the last in which we will print election-related letters.
